St. Peter’s Roman Catholic School:
Where God and Education Meet
When you send your child to St. Peter’s, you do more than share your faith with them. You put your faith in us to provide your child with strong spiritual and academic foundations. Students are taught to be respectful and compassionate, and emphasis is placed not only on academic achievement but on moral and spiritual growth. Our academic programs exceed New York State and Diocesan standards. We incorporate state of the art technology, including Smartboards in all classrooms and iPads used in a variety of classes with innovative teaching styles. Spanish, library, physical education, art, music, technology and religion are taught in all grades. High School credit classes are available. Most importantly, St. Peter’s offers, at every grade level and within each subject area, something that other schools cannot provide…the integration of God and His teachings. If you are not already part of the St. Peter’s family, we invite you to consider a Catholic education for your child.
Our philosophy is to view children as individuals, each with their own gifts and talents. We aim to help children learn more about the world around them, the gifts God has given each of us, and how we can share those gifts with others. We believe that by planting the seeds for the future in a solid faith foundation that is combined with an excellent academic program, our children will grow to be leaders for tomorrow.
We educate the whole person: academically, emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually. We work with each child to develop reasoning, skills, critical thinking skills, and good decision making abilities–all in a safe, nurturing environment that encourages each child to grow into their own potential. Our small class sizes allow for personalized attention. We get to know each child as an individual, which means that St. Peter’s is not a small school–it’s a BIG FAMILY! We have a proven track record of high academic excellence and solid moral development. The decision of where to send your child to school is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. At St. Peter’s–you’ll know you’ve made the right decision.
To provide a foundation for Christian living by integrating and nurturing faith through teaching and example and thereby become an extension of the teaching mission of the Roman Catholic Church.
To create a Christ-centered community which stimulates academic excellence and emphasizes family values and respect for self and others all in an atmosphere of kindness, love and understanding.
We are committed to balancing spiritual, intellectual, physical and social growth of our students so that they grow into responsible, self-disciplined citizens; developing and supporting a dynamic faculty and staff comprised of dedicated professionals; providing a physical facility conducive to reaching our goals; encouraging parental involvement of time and talent; continually developing and evaluating decisions, options and actions consistent with this mission, these values and these beliefs.
