The boys are not the only ones bringing home the trophies this season.  Let's hear it for our Varsity Cheerleaders. The girls took second place at a diocesan cheerleading competition at Cardinal O'Hara High School on Saturday, March 3.  They were judged on jumps, timing, and sportsmanship.  The girls also placed 3rd at "Cheer for the Cure" on Sunday, February 26.  That event raised money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Congrats to 7th grader Josh Kumi
Josh has qualified to represent St. Peter’s in the state National Geographic  Geography Bee to be held on March 30, 2012 at the New York Museum in Albany. Pictured is Joshua with his medal for winning the local school competition.

Congrats to 7th grader Chris Hibbard and 2011 grad Ryan Lilly
Chris and Ryan were honored at the diocesan Altar Server Awards Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral on Saturday, February 25. Chris was nominated by St. Peter pastor Fr. Mike for his commitment to this important ministry. Ryan was nominated for his service to St. Bernard's in Youngstown.

Thank you to St. Peter's Holy Name Society for their support of our school
On Sunday, February 12, the organization presented Fr. Zuffoletto with a check for $750 to be used for tuition assistance for low income families.

There are many families who would like to chose Catholic education for their children, but cannot afford this option.  If you would like to help, the parish and school have begun an "Adopt a Student" program.  For more information, please contact the school office at 716-754-4470.
