Technology/STREAM Class
During our weekly technology classes our students practice and learn keyboarding and typing
skills so that can become more proficient as they progress in their grades and usage. Some of
the topics included in the wider focus of STREAM include the elements of Engineering Design
Practice, Robotics, 3D Design, Virtual Reality Experiences and Design, Coding and Engineering
Concepts, and Circuits.
Our STREAM program is growing to meet the advancements and challenges of the real world and so that all children leaving SPS are more than adequately
prepared.
Technology/STREAM is a project based class. Today, along with the basic keyboarding and
typing skills, this class applies the Engineering Design Process to a variety of problems large and
small. Additionally, students are invited to learn about Google Suite, Canva, Scratch, Bitsbox,
Robotics, Little Bits, Maker Space, Sewing, Baking and anywhere else our curiosity leads us to
explore and imagine!
